THE 2008 CALL FOR PROPOSALS IS NOW CLOSED

We wish to thank all the participants of this edition of the FRIDA call for which we received 110 proposals from 18 countries of the region.

FRIDA will start notifying the chosen proposals on November 14 2008.

FRIDA is a regional initiative made up by the contributions of CEA/ IDRC (Connectivity and Equity in the Americas/ International Development Research Center), the Institute for Connectivity in the Americas (ICA), the Internet Society (ISOC) and the Latin American and Caribbean Internet Addresses Registry (LACNIC) which is also the manager of the Program.

FRIDA operates as fund of competitive projects providing financial support to projects developed by regional research teams through small grants. Projects are selected in an annual summons.

FRIDA Videoconference

On July 03, 2008, FRIDA (The Regional Fund for Digital Innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean) held an interactive session. This activity was the opportunity to explain the objectives of the program, to present the 2008 call for research proposals and to answer questions about the participation conditions for that call and about submitting projects.
