Carmen Díaz

Carmen Díaz’s professional career is marked by extensive participation in national and international committees such as ANUIES-TIC, AMCS, RedCLARA, MetaRed, LACIGF-CST, LACNIC, EDUTIC, CUDI, SIIDETEY, and Red ECOS. She served as Undersecretary of Technology and Innovation at the Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation of the Government of the State of Yucatán between 2024 and 2025. She worked at the Autonomous University of Yucatán from 1997 to 2024, where she held positions such as coordinator of the STEM program, IT Management coordinator, and Educational Technology coordinator. Her academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Educational Sciences, a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management, a specialization in Technology Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and multiple certifications and diplomas, the most recent in project management and artificial intelligence, and in ISOC community networks.

She is coordinator of the Artificial Intelligence Group of the ANUIES-TIC Committee, a board member of the Mexico Cybersecure Alliance, coordinator of the IT Governance Group of the National Research and Education Network (CUDI), and co-founder of LAC Digital Academy, where she currently serves as Director of Strategy, Innovation, and Technology. She is the author of outreach documents and articles, and participates as coordinator and author in ANUIES and MetaRed publications on the state of ICT, STEM, and artificial intelligence in higher education institutions in Mexico and Ibero-America.
