Christian Rothenberg

Christian Rothenberg is an Associate Professor and Director of the Information & Networking Technologies Research and Innovation Group (INTRIG) at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FEEC) of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where he obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2010.

Between 2010 and 2013, he served as Senior Research Scientist in the areas of IP systems and networking, leading SDN research at the CPQD Telecommunications Research and Development Center in Campinas, Brazil. He holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (ETSIT – UPM), Spain, and a Master’s degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Technical University of Darmstadt (TUD), Germany, obtained in 2006.

He is currently Principal Investigator of FAPESP’s SMARTNESS Engineering Research Center  (SMART Networks and Services for 2030) co-funded by Ericsson and expected to continue until 2033.
